Luca Tichelman (1995, NL) works with video, sculptures, drawings. 
Interested in the ingredients that create the story of a Self and the need to repeat that story in order to affirm one's existence.
By creating staged settings in which characters play a collection of different roles, she explores the innate human longing for a sense of belonging
and the key role of identity in fulfilling this need. In a sense, Luca is rediscovering a childhood pastime playing different roles in her room.
Now turning this experience into an exploration of the fundamental human need to play.
