MY ALL • A LOW BUDGET SPECTACLE is a mix of an analogue miniature archive and a digital holographic tour guide.
In this hybrid form of puppet theatre, the character Luca leads viewers through the archive where each object represents a personal memory.
Together, these objects which include love letters, big blobby friend Freddy, and a reconstructed dead bird, form a self-portrait.
The work explores self-identity as a performative act “the performance of a lifetime.”
The stories attached to each archived object invites reflection on the constructed nature of memory and reality.
The miniature ‘archive pieces’ in the installation also take shape as life-sized standalone pieces:
